Great, I inherited an old Rok machine which was heavily contaminated with limescale so I had to destroy the old cylinder to remove it and clean off the limescale 'glue' which had penetrated everywhere. The conversion kit fitted in easily and worked very well. It was very easy to dismantle the machine.

The shower screen in the kit split during fitting, which seemed to be a manufacturing defect, but Rok supplied a new one which is fine. The old plastic screen worked fine with the conversion kit until the replacement arrived,

I'm really impressed by the simplicity and robustness of the Rok design and the availability of parts to keep it working. WE use it in our caravan but if our fancy home espresso machine ever fails I think I would use the Rok.

The one thing I don't like is that the new cylinder and piston are black, which means it's very difficult to see how much water you have added unless you have really good lighting. A lighter colour would be much better. Black is always a nightmare if you have poor eyesight. So one star removed.

Not as pretty as the old clear water pipe but very effective in the pressing process.
I love my ROK!

Recently broke the plastic/glass holder on my original ROK so relieved to discover this conversion kit which gave it new life. Easy to install and makes good coffee.

To really complete this conversion, you should buy the high pressure portafilter basket also to see best results

The jury was out in the ROC. I had inconsistent results that lead to me shelving it for a while. I heard about the conversion kit and decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. Shots are more consistent and I’m using it everyday. Glad I didn’t need to buy an all new unit. Well done ROC.
