Nice naked portafilter

This is my second naked portafilter. The handle of the older one broke off. The new one works perfectly. I hope the handle holds. No dripping or leakage with this one. Great coffee! The only thing is that the ROK dosing funnel doesn't fit very well.

Love this portafilter

I got the naked portafilter, even though I was concerned about a few reviews. It fits my ROK perfectly, doesn't spill a drop, and the coffee tastes terrific. Works for me!

Surprisingly poor design

My old portafilter (circa 2015) is on its last legs so I thought the new Naked Portafilter would be a nice upgrade. WRONG!

PLUS: It requires less cleaning hassle since the strainer is not embedded in a nearly impossible-to-disassemble holder.

NEGATIVES: The drippage extends beyond the outer rim of any cup you are trying to fill. And the drippage flows along the handed and actually drips outside the Rok's base circumference. So actually, the mess created by the Naked portafilter during each poor aggregates to more cleaning hassle over time (not to mention loss of coffee) than the old porta filter. Oh, and after only one month, the black handle is loosening from its metal !

So sorry I bought it. After a month of frustration (3 pours a day) I've abandoned trying to make it work better and switched back to my old last-legs porta filter.

Hi Justin, we are sorry to hear of your experience. The naked portafilter requires careful dialing in. The grind size and dose must be exactly right for perfect extraction.
