I want to express my great enthusiasm for the Naked Portafilter. After this item was unavailable in Germany for years, I am extremely happy to have finally acquired it for my machine.
It is wonderfully crafted, and the quality has only improved compared to my 21-year-old machine.
The portafilter fits perfectly and delivers the best espresso with incredible quality and crema yield. I am completely satisfied and overjoyed with this product.
β οΈ Important Notes and Suggestions for Improvement (Handle & Dimensions)
Despite the outstanding performance of the portafilter, I share a general concern regarding the handle's durability:
I notice that the handle on the naked portafilter has the same predetermined breaking point that already caused my standard portafilter handle to break. It may be that I am over-tightening the portafilter onto the machine, but the ability to replace this handle should absolutely be available. Although the handle has not broken yet, I strongly fear that it will.
I cannot find any information on how the handle can be replaced. Therefore, I urge you to:
1. Publish instructions on how the handle can be safely changed (Is it glued? Which thread is used?).
2. Offer replacement handles (ideally for upgrading with wooden handles).
Another important detail: Clear specification of the portafilter dimensions on your website would be highly helpful. This would allow customers to source essential non-available accessories like tampers and other equipment elsewhere, ensuring they purchase the correct size.
Such a brilliant product should not be marred by a lack of information and a structural weakness in the handle.
